In 1969, we saw Brenda and Les quite regularly. Our evenings generally consisted of listening to their zany takes on life, together with Les’ latest musical creations on his guitar. He also had a great love of The Moody Blues, Paul Simon and many others, and took great delight in playing his records and then talking about the various pieces of music.
He was very supportive of us buying our guitar and was a huge help in teaching me some basic chords and finger styles of playing.
One evening it was decided to “set up” for a photo designed to shock some people we knew.
We had lot of fun doing the photo but I do not recall anybody being shocked! In that respect, it was quite disappointing!
Now that’s a photo I hadn’t seen before! LOL!

Given the era, it would have taken a lot more than that to shock most people I guess! 🙂

I know what you mean, Colin! There were real struggles around, no need to pretend something!

Yes, cute as opposed to cut.
