I am not sure (because I have not checked!), but I don’t believe that I have ever linked a Post to a Ray video where he actually moves (as distinct from creating videos from stills).
For those of you who would like to see the ‘live” Ray……………..
Certainly not the most exciting video, but very typical of what he does on a Summer afternoon just before he rolls over and goes to sleep!
Aww I love seeing Ray ‘in action!’ 😀

Yes I really must do more videos of him. 🙂

He is soooooo cute!! 🙂 Thank you for posting a “live” shot of Ray! I love when dogs roll around in the grass, just completely enjoying life and being a dog. Whenever Storm does this when we are outside, I forget about everything, laugh and live in the moment with her. It’s difficult to be upset while watching a dog roll around on the grass! Haha!

We too are very happy when we see Ray cavorting around without a care in the world! 🙂

Ray is in an abundant state. The cooling grass on a hot summer, the sun’s light and warmth, the fresh air, and the love — all for him to bask in. Who is paying for all these? All nature’s gift to be very happy about!

Well said Allu. Now if only we can get that same message to be understood by humans!

Hi Ray. You are doing one of my favorite things…enjoying the weather and rolling about in the grass. Yep, doesn’t get much better, well unless someone fed you steak while you were laying there, BOL!

Hi Lexi buddy. Yup……….. life is good! I don’t think that I have ever had steak. What’s it like? Woof! Ray.

Well, cooked right it is juicy, meaty goodness melting in your mouth. Overcooked, it is like rawhide.

Sounds precarious! I love cheese…. and bacon, but pepperoni is my bestest favorite. Woof! Ray.

Ray, you are living the life, buddy. That’s the way to spend a sunny afternoon.
Love and licks,

Oh bless him..i see the German Shepherd in him but as a one time Rottie owner i just can’t see rottie..go figure..i see similarity to Forrest who had lab in him 🙂 whatever he is still cute as the dickens 🙂

We see the Rotti in his broad face, floppy ears, eyes, and long back legs! Interestingly he was originally assessed as a Shepherd/Lab X, but a DNA sample gave us Shepherd/Rotti… and nothing else! 🙂

He is certainly quite a poser. Long may it last.

You mentioned that he seemed to be a little lethargic at the moment, but I don’t think you have any worries on the health score. He certainly seems wide awake and very interested in his surroundings. Also, from the way it moves he is obviously not in pain. He’s as handsome as ever!

I agree Hester. It is most likely the heat, humidity, and a fur coat! 🙂

Love it! It’s amazing how much more personality you can glean from one video than from all sorts of pictures…

I agree. The problem is that getting stills with digital photography is a simple matter of taking 15-20 shots. One of them must be good! Video is rather different, unless you have some good video editing software! In this video, and no doubt any future videos, what you see is exactly what happened!

He really is a pretty laid back “guy”… unless he senses a squirrel or (heaven forbid) a cat!

My cats get like that with chipmunks. Eyes closed, appear to be sleeping until a chipmunk appears in the distance then all hell breaks loose.

Having witnessed a chipmunk go for the throat of a baby Chickadee (in our back garden), we have little sympathy for them. Thank your cats for me!

Haha! He’s so handsome:) Love how he seems to think intently about rolling over before he does it lol

And obviously, the coloring on their faces is different, but something about Ray’s face is very similar to Choppy’s. I think it’s some combination of shape and jowls – or maybe it’s just the expression on Ray here is one I see on Choppy a lot.

Perhaps its the German Shepherd connection?

That could be – the long snout and slight jowl definitely suggest German Shepherd.
