We have had record breaking temperatures around here this Summer and, apart from a few days break, we are still into above normal temperatures!
After Ray’s trip down to the lake the other evening, and when we got back into the garden and after I had removed his leash and harness, he just flopped here!
I guess hard concrete slabs take on a whole new cool (literally) perspective under these conditions!
Our weather people keep predicting drops in temperature and humidity but, if it happens at all, it is usually only for 1 -2 days. Poor Ray is probably wondering what on earth us humans have done to the climate around here!
Hopefully, lower temperatures and falling leaves are not too far away for Ray. He loves his leaves!
We hope there are cooler temps and lower humidity EVERYWHERE. Happy weekend.

They are promised for us……….. but have not arrived just yet! Happy weekend to you “guys” also. 🙂

I love that photo of Ray!

He has always been a very good model… well perhaps not always, but most of the time!

I hope Ray gets to play soon in a pile of leaves painstakingly raked… Oh the trail he will leave behind in his wake!

Oh the trail indeed! He throws himself into leaf piles and rolls around, then he is quite likely to take a mouthful and throw them into the air. He is a great big happy “kid” when the leaves are on the ground! 🙂

I love dapper Ray in the picture!
Our heat is supposedly breaking after the weekend – I will be happy about it, but Choppy will be thrilled!

Choppy and Ray both! Even now we can see a difference in him when we get a 4-5 degree drop!

I agree with Ray, who once again poses so nicely. I am ready for Fall! The next 4 days it is supposed to be close to 95 and high humidity. I am ready for the hoodies and sweatpants weather.

Yup ……. us to! I don’t have a real problem with the heat, but add that humidity and it becomes oppressive. I am the same in Winter in that I have no problem with the extreme low temperatures, but add a moisture content and it becomes a problem. I have fond memories of the Swiss Alps wearing shorts and shirt……. but it was a very “dry” cold!

If it wasn’t for humidity, I don’t think it would as bad. I admit, I absolutely hate the humidity (I just want to stay in air-conditioning). I too, am looking forward to cooler days and being able to open up and enjoy fresh air. I don’t blame Ray for plopping down. 🙂

I cannot imagine having a permanent fur coat in these conditions. Can’t blame him for laying in front of an air vent!

I hope it for Ray too. Over here during the day it is again wonderfully hot although the light has already changed and it looks like fall. Also, the nights and mornings are cooler.

Were in a “Heat Alert” condition currently, but that is supposed to change within the next 48hrs. Looking forward to a drop in temperature! 🙂

But try to save some warmth for the winter!!!

Hopefully that will not be a problem, at least indoors! Last Winter we had some extreme low temperatures and freezing rain/ice storms which were not nice but, whatever comes, we’ll deal with it…. and with smiles! 🙂

Haha… that’s right, we cannot do anything about it anyway. As long as we are having the sun in our hearts the weather doesn’t matter anyway 😊

We must be on some sort of weird pre-Fall heat wave. It’s 93 here and 75% humidity. To go outside is like having a hot, wet, towel thrown in your face. Very difficult to breathe. I pity the animals in their fur coats. I’ve been keeping Maggie in. She does not do well in extreme weather. Love to all! Woof!

I am sure he is, and while you are playing with your Morris 8, he’ll be playing with his leaves! 🙂

That pictures reminds me of my cat Morgan. She does the regal post with her paws crossed too. My cats have spent most of the summer lying on cool tile rather than fluffy cushions that warm up.

Inside, Ray instinctively goes to a cushioned surface, but he soon moves onto the floor.. and usually near an air vent!

Hazel is the air vent girl. Winter, summer, she always hogs it.

Very uber-casual, R. I love the crossed paws. Stay cool.

The “crossed paws” seems to be his “trademark” chill position! We love it! 🙂

The warm weather was supposed to be done here too, but it looks like it’s going to be back before terribly long. I kind of wish it would just stay away! I’m waiting for the fall weather as much as everyone else!

Much as I really love our 4 Seasons, there comes a point when I wish it would change… like about now! 🙂

You are making it harder for me to read the daily posts when I am not at home and in a weak signal area by using a link in the broadcast email to read the rest of the post. But don’t stop posting! – just annoying when you have to wait to read the last few lines.
