Four years ago yesterday, we saw Ray’s adoption notice and, after a brief discussion, decided to take him out for a short walk. He was, not surprisingly, quite indifferent to us. He didn’t know us after all and, at that time, people in general were not his favorite species of creature!
We took him out a few times after that and then, on March 3, Carol took this pic. He was now letting us touch him!
It was not long after this when Carol suggested that, given the German Shepherd dog bite in my history, IĀ should see Ray on a daily basis and just see what, if anything, develops.
He came home with us on March 15, 2013, and the rest is now history. All the details (things are never that simple!) are of course in my/his book “Who Said I was up for Adoption?”
Still behind (but eating that elephant one bite at a time). Talk about serendipity. š

Please do. I find that books are often like movies, in that the second time around presents things that were missed the first time around! š

Ray looks a little thinner in that photo. Was that the case? Did you have to put some weight on him?

Ray weighed 75lbs when we got him, and he is around 76-1/2lbs now. The big difference however is the quality of his coat which makes him look as if he has “filled out” a little. š
