Bits ‘n’ Bites!

All kinds of ideas were going through my mind in the context of today’s Post, and so I thought that I would cover all of them!

Melanie’s GoFundMe project (link below) has reached just over $4500.00 so is doing quite well. A church that she knows very well has offered to cover one months rent for her, and there is a possibility of an imminent job in the “care” business. She would be good at that!

A very different Post!

My book about Ray (“Who Said I was up for Adoption?”) is selling slowly but consistently so I am happy.  52% of the total sales are in the USA (many thanks to all you guys south of our border); Canada accounts for 24%; Australia for 9%, with the balance being picked up by the UK and India. I really have to work on the UK!

My “Just Thinking” book is currently being reviewed in the context of font, size, layout etc. before my final approval prior to publishing. I am expecting to hear from the publishers next week.

I have managed to “find “Ariadna (link below)! It just took Google, FB and knowing her personality a little. She apparently lives in a neighboring town so hopefully she will be receptive to a “coffee date” so we can share each others news… and 25 years has surely created much news to share!

Just a hand written note!

Finally, and at the risk of making 2 + 2 = 5, I suspect that our only “Ray approved” dog sitter is starting a family. This therefore has to be the year when (Plan A) we get Ray comfortable on his own and also the year when we (Plan B) find another person that he will fall in love with at $15.00/hour!

2017 is going to be a very interesting year, but then…. aren’t they all interesting years! 🙂

  1. That is great that you were able to locate your friend from the past. I hope a “coffee date” does work out for the both you!!
Exciting about your book getting closer to being published!
Wishing you the best with Ray and the situation with his sitter leaving. Things will work out, 1 way or the other. 🙂

    • Oh I wish! It is really not that easy because Ray is still suspicious of people. He will be sociable when out, but on his territory he is quite different. A new dog sitter must be introduced to Ray a few times so that he gets to accept them, and then he must develop a really strong liking of them for him to settle down after Carol and I have left the home. It is a quite complicated and slow process!

  2. Great to hear Melanie’s GoFundMe is doing well. Congratulations on the books selling, you never know when it might really take off.

Enjoy the meeting with your friend if it happens and I hope you find another loving sitter for Ray when the time comes.
