I was recently contacted by a fellow blogger Jacqueline Oby-Ikoch with a suggestion that we promote each others books. She, and other Indie authors, appreciates that the most difficult part of producing a book is the marketing. Writing a book is challenging, and editing it ready for publishing is even more  challenging… but nobody will ever buy a book that they do not know exists! Marketing can be very expensive, or simply persistent work on the part of the author, so an opportunity to present to a different Blogging “audience” is welcomed. The collection opens with a joyous dance; encouraging the African child to dance to the beat born within. Then Jacqueline goes deep as the book progresses, reliving loss and pain. In one of the piercing poems, ” A Thousand Deaths”, she paints a vivid image that quietly rips the heart open. And yet, she manages to put a smile back on the reader’s face with a graceful and lovely depiction of the ageing process in, “Forever Young”.
In all, this is a beautifully crafted collection that touches on universal themes readers can relate to.

The writings are so intriguing you could read the entire book in one seating. I’m a long time Maya Angelou fan and Jacqueline’s poems are reminiscent of Angelou’s unique flare.
