We have a had some glorious days recently which included lower temperatures… so Ray was very happy to go outside. After some initial rolling around, he then started to chill out, and present photographic opportunities.
Of course I could not resist getting some close up pics, although many were deleted due to slight blurring…. but those eyes!
Looking directly into those eyes is quite hypnotic!
LOVE the close up!

He is interesting because we had to teach him eye contact, but he learned so well that he can occasionally make people feel quite uncomfortable!:)

I suppose a stare down by Ray could be a bit intimidating. 🙂

Absolutely. If we see a potential problem we either distract him, or ask the person not to hold eye contact. Our neighbor tried to stare him down…. not a good idea.

I’m sure that’s not a good idea at all. It’s awesome you guys know Ray so well and it’s because you took the time to!

The amount of changes that he has made has been awesome to witness. He deserves all the time that we can give him. 🙂

So do we! He does that a lot, which we interpret as him being very comfortable and relaxed. 🙂

Perhaps. Could also be “Go away” or “I think I deserve a treat” or even “Any chance of an early dinner?” 🙂

Haha.. I think he’s been a good boy and surely deserves a treat 🙂

He gets lots of treats (such that we have to cut back on his regular meals), but I believe you already know that! Have a great day Himali! 🙂

If the eyes are, indeed, the windows of the soul, then Ray has a pure soul.

The closeup of Ray’s eyes would make a great book cover…

He made a remarkable transition from “no eye contact” to totally using them to get attention! 🙂

He really is. He still has things to work on (he probably always will), but a beautiful boy regardless! 🙂

I totally understand, especially remembering how he introduced himself to me with the eye contact… and then the nose touch!

Thanks Di. I get my fair share of not so good pics but, every now and then…. the stars align (or something!). 🙂

I know what you mean. When we lost Barney, we had a simple snapshot I’d taken blown up and printed on canvas.

That was a nice idea. Barney can live on! 🙂

Oh he does. His picture hung on the wardrobe door in the boat and has been packed safely away ready for our new home. We want to geet one of Maggie, but so far haven’t got quite ‘the right pose’.

Isn’t that the beauty of digital photography? Just “run off” 20 or 30 pics and 1 or 2 will generally be good! 🙂
