This is intended simply as a fun Post, with the title being taken from a Comment against the October 6 Post “A Trail Walk (Conclusion)”. With that Post, a number of you appeared to have fixated on the fact that I walked into the river fully clothed. Having such a lovable dog expressing excitement at the possibility of going into the water, made it difficult to refuse him the pleasure. Having almost 80lbs of dog pulling such that his leash was so taut, I could have probably played a tune on it, made it almost impossible to say no!
When the excitement was over… squish… squish!
We’ll do anything for our four legged friends!

Hi Rae. When a minor inconvenience can produce so much happiness, it’s a “no brainer”! 🙂

So true. Lena, at seventeen, has bad teeth. The minor inconvenience of partially chewing up some of the beef I’ve made for lunch was worth it (to see her licking her lips in satisfaction- -full payment of having to have a taste of beef with my breakfast! LOL)

There’s nothing wrong with a little self-sacrifice is there. If more people did it, rather than totally focus on themselves, the world would be a much happier place. 🙂

Please don’t get Ray to teach Brandy that trick. We have an all-year creek running across the lower part of our property. It genuinely is called Bummer Creek that’s rather appropriate if Brandy did do that! 😉
(The true reason it was named Bummer Creek is in recognition that it didn’t provide the anticipated gold !)

No gold….. but I bet it could provide lots of fun for a man and his dog! 🙂

Yes, during the hot days of summer we have been known to stroll down the creek with a dog or three in tow! The challenge comes during the winter months when the rains can have the creek turn into a 5-ft deep torrent of swirling, muddy water. For the sound and sight of the rushing water would have at least 4 of our 6 dogs leaping off the bridge if they weren’t restrained by Jean and me!

Remember that quote from yesterday, ” Life shouldn’t be lived with the intention of arriving in a well preserved body……but to skid in yelling, “Woo-Hoo! What a Ride!”
So keep going “Squish! Squish!” 🙂
