The “big kid” late Christmas Eve. He was trying so hard to keep his eyes open. He would obviously have no idea what was going on but, due to a few changes in routines and decor, he would have known that something was up!
Sleep eventually won, and he missed seeing Santa, but he still got a bag of huge biscuits. He was happy on Christmas Day morning, and even happier later when he smelled the turkey!
Hope your ‘howliday’ was joyous. All the best for a pawsome 2018.

HI Monika – Yes we had a lovely time, even though we dipped into a deep freeze situation with our weather. We are looking at -30C/-22F tonight, and a slight warming trend starting in about 10 days… so 2018 is starting off quite different! 🙂

Merry Third Day of Christmas. 🎄☃️ Is there snow? ❄️☃️

Hi Carol – Yes, we had around 2-3 inches of snow just before Christmas, and another 3-4 inches early Christmas Day. Lots of shoveling had to be done but, thankfully, there was no wind so no snow drifts. Very picturesque. 🙂

Benjamin says : “Ray is so cute!” and hopes he got “lots of treats.” We had two happy dogs at my house on Christmas, my son-in-law cooked steaks on the grill (in the snow)! Two legged and four legged beings were delighted! Everyone decided that steak beats my baked ham…a new tradition is born! Love Carol’s snowmen, they were my theme this year (revisited from 1996). Thank-you for sharing Ray’s Christmas!

Always pleased to share whatever we can. If your new tradition is that someone else cooks the Christmas dinner…. more power to you! There may well be a few other moms asking how you managed it! 🙂

Food is the ultimate for dogs! My cats are not intrigued by cooking smells but if they hear the pop of what could possibly be a cat food can, look out or they will run you over.

We always have to be on the lookout for a mobile Ray whenever the smell of food permeates the kitchen. He is not too sensitized to obstructions…be it furniture or human! 🙂

My friend with the greyhound (her daughter moved in with her with the dog) had a surprise when she left a blueberry pie on the counter. That dog is an A-1 counter surfer. Ate the whole damn pie! BTW everyone is going great. They love the dog and there are no issues at all.

“Oooops! The pie has disappeared!” (looking at guilty dog)!

Yay on Ray’s bag of huge biscuits! He deserved them. 🙂 Glad that Santa made it to your house. Did Carol and you catch a glimpse of Santa or did you miss seeing him like Ray did?
I like the cute stuffed Snowmen under your tree.

We have always missed Santa… but he has always remembered us. Carol made a whole family of those snowmen many years ago, so they all have to come out at Christmas time! 🙂

I thought I saw a glimpse of his sleigh one time disappearing into the sky….but Brad missed it. He was sleeping like Ray.
Oh that makes the Snowmen more special , being that Carol made them. Tell her that it looks like she did a great job.
I bring out my Christmas bears every year…but they were not made by me. Being crafty is definitely not one of my gifts. 🙂
