The Seekers were a very popular group in England when I was in my late teens/early twenties (a long time ago!) They recorded so many songs that I really liked, and I found Judith Durham’s voice was quite captivating. Imagine my surprise when I just recently came across “Colours of My Life”! Where was I when that song was released in the mid 60’s? There are no answers, but I am so glad that I did stumble across it just recently and, bonus, Judith Durham still sings it beautifully … almost 50 years later! Enjoy.

Hi Prajakta. She did, of course, have a stronger voice when this song was initially recorded in the mid 60’s … but she still did an excellent job with it didn’t she. 🙂

Oh yes! It’s great how the change reflects the actual transition of life and the spirit of the song itself!

Really liked the Seekers. My favorite was The Carnival Is Over. Heard her singing it not a that long ago. Brilliant.

I love her trembling voice. That’s a very beautiful song and has that flower power touch.

She really does have an amazing voice! Apparently as far as her voice goes age is just a number. Impressive.
This was something I enjoyed waking up too. 🙂

I remember Judith Durham’s beautiful voice. Morning Town, Ride The Carnival is Over, Island of Dreams, Never Find another You. Oh those were the days of music. Great bit of nostalgia Colin.

I thought so too Di. I was surprised at how well she was still singing, as she had to be well into her 60’s when that performance was recorded! 🙂
