Introduction: This song was selected about a week ago but, given the history of this week for me, it seemed perhaps a questionable choice. However, I decided that a stairway to heaven is appropriate and, more importantly, this is the most uplifting version of this song that I have ever heard. The end result …. the original Post stays.

This is such an exciting Post for me, because I am not a great Led Zeppelin fan. However, I really don’t think that anybody would argue against “Stairway to Heaven” being considered classic rock … and then there are Ann and Nancy Wilson (Heart).
The link below is (to me) an incredibly moving arrangement of “Stairway to Heaven” with Ann and Nancy Wilson taking charge. Led Zeppelin are in the audience and are, quite naturally, following every note in this performance. I found it interesting to watch Jimmy Page as he “monitors” the lead guitar solo.
If you are anything like me, you will be totally exhilarated, and exhausted, at the end! Enjoy.
Great version great video 🐇🐰🐤🐣🐥

It’s amazing what the right song, powerful vocals, and a large and enthusiastic choir can do!

This is such a fantastic performance, I’m glad you posted it. It was great to see Page and Jones really get into the performance. You can see in the video the performance made Robert Plant and Jason Bonham (playing drums) pretty emotional.

Every time I hear Stairway to Heaven, I think of the movie Wayne’s World (though I’m probably the only one).

I should add that when I mentioned about this performance to Brad he responded with, “Oh yes that is one very powerful performance, especially the last half!” He also commented about Robert Plant and the others being so obviously touched by it. I agreed that watching their emotions added to the performance.

No argument from me there! If you select my Posts based on the Music category, you may find many others that you will like …. albeit not necessarily as dramatic. I have a very broad musical taste. 🙂
