The Leslie Spit Treeo were only active from 1988 to 2000, but they recorded a number of interesting songs. “What if?” is one that I really like. Enjoy!
The only reason that I know this group is because my eldest daughter really loved them and was sorry when they stopped recording. I could be wrong, but I think that she said it was because the dog had died! She frequently plays “The Book of Rejection” album from the early 90’s. The song “In Your Eyes” on that album is one that I do like. This song is on that same album, but to me it’s not as good as the other song. Thank-you!
These lyrics definitely got my attention. “What if” may be only 2 little words, but they can be powerful words in our mind. Good song once again, you always manage to find them. 🙂
Glad you liked it TG. Don’t know why they disbanded (creative differences?) but I do believe that Laura Hubert is still doing the local circuit here (Toronto).
I looked them up out of curiosity on Wikipedia and the one guitarist left the band to pursue acting and then I read somewhere else that there was relationship issues that came up between Hubert and Langner. Did you know that “Tag” their dog was credited as being their official manager? They also would mix his barking, growling and whining into some songs on their albums. 🙂
Well it looks like you accomplished a great feat! Brad told me that he never had heard of this group before. Today this morning is starting off well! 🙂

I had heard about Tag being part of the band! I would suggest that you may now know a band that Brad is not aware of!!!
