As my regular Followers know very well, I rarely do a “flashback” Post. Every now and then, however, I stumble across an old Post and think it very appropriate to revisit it.
To those of you who saw it/heard it back in September 2017, I hope it brings back good memories. To my new Followers since that time (especially the poets among you), I hope it provokes thoughts about perhaps your own life.
The poem, and they way you read it, flows like a river of thoughts.

Thank you. Then I guess using a river as a life analogy was logical! 🙂

I was a fairly new follower back in 2017 when you posted this reading of “The River”. Then, as now, I was struck by the beauty of the words made more meaningful by your voice. My comment then, as now, has not changed. Thank-you!

“It must have thought so many times, Can I survive all this?….”
One of my favorite lines from a favorite poem of mine! 🙂

I would suggest that most of us, if we are honest with ourselves, have felt that sense of helplessness and perhaps futility at some point in our past.

Very true, and no matter how futile we feel things are at times, we do end up making it through!
