Wow! A rare moment has happened! You played a song that I knew but Brad didn’t! He just listened to it and said he didn’t remember it. I was like “you gotta be kidding!” and than I felt proud. LOL!
Oh yes there are so many gems from the 80’s for sure! I didn’t recognize the title at first but as soon as I heard the beginning of the song it all came back to me, as I tapped my foot. Just what I needed to help get me going and it put a smile on my face. Thank you! 🙂
Speaking of music, I just saw a headline about it being 44 years since the sinking of the Edmund Fitzgerald. Made me think of the song you shared a few years ago.about a ship
I will probably get the name wrong, but I think it was “The Mary Alice Carpenter” ?
Just wondered if there was a song about the Edmund Fitzgerald. I figured you would know. 🙂
Thanks! I still like the ” Mary Alice Carpenter”( was that actually the correct name?) song better but it was good to hear this one. It was a really sad tragedy!
I thought something didn’t sound quite right but was hoping I was wrong.
Well at least I got the “Mary” right and Carter and Carpenter does sound pretty similar. LOL!
Totally! I remember, maaaaaany years back when I was still in my education (I think I was 17 or 18), I was not very amused to go to work in the morning. Then I was sitting in that bus and the bus driver had the radio turned on. This song was played and yes, it did lift my mood!

You are thinking of “The Mary Ellen Carter” sung by Stan Rogers.
