“Intermission”

The Carpenters recorded some lovely songs but, unfortunately, the premature passing of Karen Carpenter ended that musical  journey. They were very creative, and this brief marriage of melody and harmony was (very deliberately) the last track, on side one, of the original vinyl album ,,, which I still have! Enjoy the beautiful harmonies … and the creative lyrics! 🙂

    • Yes they certainly had a lovely melodic and warm sound. I have loved her voice from way back then, and still do! “Goodbye to Love” has always been an emotional song for me, with no basis for that other than Karen’s presentation of it.

  1. Loved Karen. Definitely still my one of my favorite voices ever. I often wonder how much more we would have heard from her had she not died so young.
