My favourite band from the 60’s and 70’s was undoubtedly The Moody Blues. Their 1968 album “In Search of the Lost Chord” included many excellent tracks, but Legend of a Mind stood out because of its structure. I particularly loved the ending where they go from a slow flute solo, to a decisive percussion beat supported by a Mellotron, and harmonized vocals. Enjoy.
A classic indeed.

Great band, so sad how his life ended up. So many years of pain.

You’re referencing Timothy Leary’s life? I wonder how he saw it, given that his life was so controversial One must assume that he believed in everything he represented even though he was so often at odds with the status quo. He will certainly be remembered long after you and I have been forgotten, but I am not sure that I would want to generate those kinds of memories.

Great track. Loved all their albums, favourite was Every Good Boy Deserves favour.

All their albums up to, and including, Octave were wonderful from my perspective. After Octave things seemed to get a little lost! π

I would agree there Colin. I had them all, but only have Blue Jays on a CD now.

Brad was just listening to the Moody Blues yesterday. I agree about the ending with the flute solo being the best part. π

Sounds Timothy Learyish. Now I want to wear something psychedelic and enjoy some yellow sunshine.
I liked the flute, also.

For the sake of your poor wife I hope you don’t give into the urge to wear something psychedelic!

Been there … done that … won’t be doing it again. Still contemplating coloured streaks in my hair though! π

LOL! Looking forward to the picture, if you really dare to do it! I think a nice shade of blue is your color. π

Blue is exactly what I had in mine. Just a small streak on each side. Just waiting for COVID incidents to drop right down first. π

Why? She won’t have to wear it. I’m just doing my own thing, man. I’m turning on, tuning in, and dropping out.
