Both ABBA girls, not surprisingly, decided to record solo albums. Anni-Frid (Frida) released one titled after her popular “Something’s Going On”, and on that album are a couple of songs that I really liked. As with many songs, it was the melody and overall arrangement that got my attention, with rather less interest in the lyrics! “To Turn the Stone” and “Threnody” are my two favourite tracks! Enjoy “To Turn the Stone”.

I prefer music that has lyrics. But no matter what the lyrics say, I won’t like the song if the melody isn’t appealing.

Love ABBA’s music and Frida did a lovely job with this song. Will have to check out her album. Enjoyed the video with it, especially the running water. May have to watch and listen to ti again. 🙂

I just listened to “Threnoly”. I liked it too, but I think this is my favorite between the two. I listened to “Something’s Going On” That was interesting. With the video I thought the song was about a nuclear bomb at first, and than I realized what it was about! Kind of explains the break up of “ABBA” , doesn’t it!

That’s it isn’t it! Controversy is always good “for business”, so we are never likely to know (do we care?) what really happened within the band.

You hit the nail there about controversy being good “for business!” For yes, people flock to controversy about famous people! I may have been a little curious as to what broke “ABBA” up, but will I lose sleep over not knowing the details? Nope! Gosh! I have enough things to be curious about in my own life., I am really not in need of more to wonder about! 😊
