I have liked many of Nana Mouskouri’s recordings over the years, but this particular one only came to my attention quite by accident and very recently. I love her vocal tones and her very clear pronunciation of the English lyrics. Put that together with a sensitive story-line and a lovely melody, and that is why she is here now! Enjoy.Β π
Haven’t heard anything of hers for years. This is rather nice Colin.

I remember her well from the 60’s and 70’s in England, and just “rediscovered” her from an old album I was transferring to my pc. π

The lovely country I am living, is not allowed to watch this video… π But I listened to a different one. A very lovely song. I always liked her voice too. I think this is the first time I am hearing her singing English. She recorded so many German songs. I so love the Greek-style songs.

You do that Erika. Not only is it a pleasure to share my music with you, but we both know just how important music is to our overall well-being.

She looks pretty, so I’m sure she’s a wonderful singer. But I could feel more confident in that thought if you were to provide the youtube link to this tune.

HI TG – It should be in the bottom left corner of the picture/link. Do you not have that?

I do have that. I guess I was so enthralled with her beauty that I didn’t notice the link. However, I just clicked on that link and although it took me to youtube, youtube displayed the message, “Video unavailable.”

Any chance you are on a weird device …. ‘cos JR got it ok. Would your State be different from PA in this context?

I’m on a PC. But this is the Soviet state of California, so it could be that some nogoodniks have censored my access. Does this singer happen to be an outspoken capitalist?

That worked. Wow, she has a pretty voice. Clear as water. Sounded a bit like a folk tune, to me. Anyway, very nice.

Glad you enjoyed her singing TG. She does have a lovely voice, and sings in a number of different languages. Smart as well as talented! π

That’s all very impressive, but how about Pig Latin?

I’d love to hear music sung in Pig Latin.

Check your email. Snouto Dominoinko de Silo does a Pigorian Chant in (obviously) Pig Latin.

Okay, that was an experience. Heh-heh. I guess it makes sense that pigs would chant in Pig Latin.

Mine gave that message too so I just went to the YouTube site and typed in the song and Voila! It came up! Don’t ask me why it works that way but I have had to do that some other times too.
