I was browsing recently and tripped over the Post linked below. I can recall the emotions of that time, and vividly relived that moment in time. Enjoy!
Hi Monika – A wonderful sip of nostalgia and, apart of being much older now (aren’t we all?), he is still as lovable as ever … and still a little quirky! 🙂
Absolutely Erika. It cannot possibly be any better than that, and what a wonderful example for so many aspects of life. “The giver always gets” was said to me a long time ago when I was in a volunteer training program. It is so true.
He is doing very well. His walks are slower and he is more stubborn than he used to be, but then he is a senior now so quite entitled to be unpredictable!
For anybody reading this and would like to know more of Ray’s story, it is in a book “Who Said I was up for Adoption?” which is available direct from Friesen Press (link below):
As good today as it was back then. Thanks for a trip down memory lane with dear Ray.

He’s a sweet boy who won the dog lottery when you and Carol adopted him.

And we won the dog lottery when he decided that we were in his future. 🙂
