“The Odessa Chronicles”

The book “The Odessa Chronicles” is now available direct from the Friesen Press Bookstore and from Amazon. It will also be available from all the other usual on-line book retailers worldwide however, it may take a week or two before they all show it on their files.

What is “The Odessa Chronicles”? It is a collection of stories (almost 300 pages!) for children of all ages (from 1 to 101), which focus on the adventures and inter-personal relationships between a Barn Owl (Odessa), a Jackalope (Jaxon), and a cat (Dewey) of unknown origin, who live together on an abandoned farm.

The farm is purchased by a human (Joshua) as his retirement home. His dream is to spend his days relaxing in the peace and tranquility of rural life, blissfully unaware that he was not alone! Intrigued? Stay tuned!

  1. Benjamin and I want to tell you that we are delighted that “The Odessa Chronicles” is ready to be part of his collection of books. My oldest daughter has Amazon Prime, so that will most likely be where we will make our purchase. I had mentioned on JoyRoses blog that Benjamin has graduated to hearing the entire story or what is referred to as chapter reading. I’m a firm believer that children should learn that reading is a pleasure at an early age. This book is a marvelous way to do just that! Whenever we visit JoyRoses blog or yours and Benjamin spots the book, he always points and proudly says : “My Jodi painted Odessa and my friends wrote the stories.” He knows all of the characters and considers them his friends too. Congratulations! Thank-you x 2!!

  2. It’s still hard to believe that the day has finally come! Smiling as I picture a little girl or boy falling in love with our delightful adventurers from Moonbeam Farm. Such a lovely name for the Farm. πŸ™‚
