I love this song from 1977 for a number of reasons however, a major one is the story line. A day in the life of a band on tour seems such an unlikely topic, but Jackson Browne did a remarkable job with it! Enjoy!

I didn’t know what to expect this morning, but this was great! An awesome way to pay tribute to all the hard workers behind the scenes. Love how he incorporated “Stay” into the song.
Thank you for the smiles that this song brought! 🙂

Played it for Brad, as soon as I said Jackson Browne he was like Oh yeah he’s really good. 🙂
He enjoyed the song, said it kind of reminded him of something Billy Joel would do.

The song gives a wonderful feeling of union, togetherness, and working hand in hand for the same goal. Beautiful to make it a tribute to the whole team.

Totally agree, and it was very popular back then so one must assume that the “union/togetherness” message was well received.

It was the 70s where this really hit a nerve and it still does! Thank you for sharing, Colin.

Great song. I was a big JB fan when the album Running on Empty with this song came out. I saw him in concert about the same time. Great songwriter and troubadour!
