There were so many really good sounds and songs for me to lose myself in, in 1968 (I was 22 after all)! It was very difficult deciding between Fleetwood Mac’s “Albatross, Nina Simone’s “Ain’t Got no ….”, Buffy Sainte-Marie’s “Take My Hand For a While” and so many more. However, 1968 was the year that I was introduced to The Moody Blues … and I loved their sound (and still play various tracks regularly). So my choice for 1968:
1968 was the year we came to Alvin, Texas, and stayed. It was our second year to teach, My Better Half at the high school, me at the junior high. My how time has flown and how different eduction and the world was then.

Indeed …….. how the world has changed and, in a number of ways, leaves me shaking my head at the direction it seems to be going. I guess I am my age! 🙂

No, not your age, I shake my head about it too … and I am younger. LOL!
That’s when you put on the Moody blues and you don’t shake your head quite as much.

Hi Peter. I must conclude that you are older than I, and are therefore suffering greater memory imperfections. Alternatively, you could be my age and suffering greater memory imperfections than I. Of course you could be younger than I, in which case you really have a problem but then, you may simply have not been into music in 1968! Pick one! 🙂

They’re a good bad, but I can only listen to them when I’m feeling blue, or otherwise in the mood.

Whoops, I meant “band” not “bad.”
