My partner Carol came across this video and she was so impacted by it that she forwarded the link to me. I watched it ……………………… and could totally understand her reaction. Enjoy the soft guitar and the beautiful visual escape from our current world!

Hi Colin, this is really lovely! So good to see a post from you. Trust you and Carol are both OK.
What are you up to these days? It’s so long since you posted.
Glad to know Nigel is doing so well. We lost Maggie in November 2020, two months shy of her 16th birthday. Three months of being adamant about no more dogs, we admitted I was rubbish without one and a year later we found Maya, a pedigree GSD. We are hoping to let her have a litter and keep one, having already kept in touch with her breeder and introduced her to two potential daddies.

Hi Di – Nice to hear from you, and not surprised that you found another dog! All is well here although blog-time seems to be in short supply currently!

As long as you are all OK, that’s what matters. Loads of pics of Maya on my blog if you have some time.

Hi Willow – So glad you enjoyed the “escape”. To answer your questions:
2. We are doing fine, always acknowledging inherent issues with aging as the body becomes less resilient to stress and strain!
3. I have not been on here for quite some time mainly due to WP changes which are making this site more confusing on a regular basis. For some reason your Comment would not show until I had approved it twice, and even now the “Like” button does not respond to my clicking on it. All in all, this 78 year old brain is finding more rewarding things to do than trying to figure out what you used to be a simple process!
4. Finally, towards the end of 2023, we adopted a “career change dog” from our local guide dog training centre. i.e. He did not want to work on command! He (Nigel) is a standard poodle and totally loves everybody! He is the best dog ever and just loves to cuddle.
There you are ……….. now up to date! Have a wonderful day Willow. 🙂

Apart from Ray’s demise that l sounds good to me ! I know what it’s like to cope with an aging body…. No fun!! But hey we do don’t we …the alternative is too bleak?
We lost our Ruby two years ago and we still miss her. She was 13 and ¾ a good innings for a retired Guide dog. We now foster guide dogs. …Nigel sounds wonderful and please give him huge hug from us 💕. Hope to see you around 💜💜
