He does have a really thick and soft coat. Unlike the typical Shepherd coat. 🙂

…. and therein is one of his/our problems! He looks so cute and cuddly, and is often approached by complete strangers who feel a need to touch him!. Ray has the Shepherd/Rotti trait of being very cautious with strangers, and can easily turn into a lunging, barking, dog as a result of somebody approaching him without giving any consideration to his “view of the world”.

Much as he likes going pretty much anywhere with us, he is especially happy when on a trail walk. 🙂
