“My Love, Cape Breton, and Me”

I came across this song quite by chance … and immediately loved it. Natalie McMaster is playing the fiddle, and may also be the singer (but not sure). It is a beautiful song about a rather unusual “love triangle”!

Natalie McMaster is quite well known here for her fiddle playing, which is synonymous with our East Coast culture, and is very similar (to my ears) to Irish folk music. That is really no revelation though, because our East Coast was originally settled by Scottish immigrants! The connection? I have no idea!

It’s a lovely song. I hope you enjoy it.
