I think Ray would like a home that overlooks the lake! He certainly looked thoughtful while we were there.
I must go down to the seas again, to the lonely sea and the sky,
And all I ask is a tall ship and a star to steer her by
(First two lines from the poem “Sea Fever”, courtesy John Masefield)

“Do we really have to go home now?”
I understand Ray’s feelings.

Yes, dogs and children have a way of reaching into our chests and pulling our hearts into their bodies.

Ray is such a handsome DOG. Love all the photographs you take of him and your adventures.

Our lives certainly changed, the moment he touched his nose to mine way back in March 2013! 🙂

I can happily sit by the water all day too, Ray, then ask if we have to go home so soon.

Hi Sarah. I will tell Ray that you think he is sweet. You might get a waggy tail in response! 🙂

I think they love to watch the waves coming in and find it as peaceful as we humans do. Would be nice for both of you. 🙂

I don’t blame him one bit. I’m thinking of going to a beach myself soon.

Obviously you know your dog. Perfect match between poem and portrait’s expression

He is staring off into space, so quite naturally (?) dreaming about going to sea … or to lake! 🙂

Can’t afford a lakefront property … but we’re only a 10 mins walk away which, for a body on four legs, shouldn’t be a big deal! 🙂
