Cupid?

The video (link below – it may take a minute or two to load) tells a story about a puppy who was found behind a building in Toronto, in a commercial garbage container, and with no front legs! Joan (The Dog Rescuers Inc.), who is featured in the video, lives just around the corner to us so she knows Ray quite well! CHCH is a local television station.

One can only shake one’s head in disbelief at the mentality of the person who thought that was an acceptable way to dispose of an unwanted dog however, in a world where we see examples of whole cultures, nationalities and/or religions, being ostracized because of the actions of a few; where we see specific dog breeds being labeled as dangerous, simply because of intuitive survival skills being developed as a result of delinquent ownership (and the list can go on and on)… it is refreshing to know that there are still people who live in the service of others. It is refreshing to know that the concept of personal sacrifice is still alive and well.

  1. Something happened in India – two MEDICAL students dropped a stray dog from the terrace of their building to see what happens. Horrifying! However, like you said, it is heartening to know there are people and organizations who are so dedicated. The dog is now happy and back on her feet! ๐Ÿ™‚

    • As students of medicine, they should receive a very severe punishment. Not only were they knowingly going to injure a living, feeling creature, but if they had no concept of what would happen, then they should be failed. Total stupidity in the medical profession is highly undesirable!

  2. I’m also appalled at the actions of some people who like to think of themselves as human beings – impossible without more than a touch of humanity. I especially like your second paragraph, however.
