It would seem quite natural for each of us to have connections with music from our past, after all … isn’t that all part of the joy of nostalgia? I do spend a lot of time listening to music that is within my “comfort zone”, being the 1960s -1980s general range, but every now and then, something much more recent makes an impact! Enjoy!
Oh take a look at what you’ve done
Devil dancing in the sun
(Dancing in the sun, dancing in the sun)
It’s been a while since you have seen
The trouble written in your dreams
(Written in your dreams, written in your dreams)
And when your cold hands
Feel the water
You will find me dancing there
And when you wave your hands
Beneath the water
You will find me standing there
Can’t really tell if it’s too soon
For angels dancing on the moon
(Dancing on the moon, dancing on the moon)
It’s been a while since you have shown
The greatest depths of your unknown
(Depths of your unknown, depths of your unknown)
And when your cold hands
Feel the water
You will find me dancing there
And when you wave your hands
Beneath the water
You will find me standing there
[Bridge]
If all the bad feelings
Ever make you stop believing
Or all you’re receiving, that’s the end
And all that you live for
Is a thunder in your heartstorm
Don’t be what they ask for in the end
If all the bad feelings
Ever make you stop believing
Or all you’re receiving
That’s the end
And all that you live for
Is a thunder in your heart storm
Don’t be what they ask for in the end
In the end
And when your cold hands
Feel the water
You will find me dancing there
And when you wave your hands
Beneath the water
You will find me standing there
I agree, the nostalgia and the memories with songs of earlier days are part of our lives. But since we still live there are still songs which we pack into that nostalgia backpack.

I appreciate the introduction to a new, to me, singer. I find these lyrics to be perplexing, but enjoyed the music and her voice. I must search for more songs by Louise Burns. Thank-you!

Perplexing indeed! I have a much less perplexing, and beautifully presented, song for next Saturday! 🙂

My little stretch of knowing the artists that you have recently posted about has ended. I knew it would soon. 🙂
Another new artist and a song that is intriguing, along with the video. Interesting to think about what the song is trying to say.

It is interesting isn’t it. Note my response to Di (pensitivity101). 🙂

I was going to ask what your interpretation of it was. I see you found it “challenging” as well. 🙂 I do agree about the upbeat sound, makes it sound happy.

I so rarely hear any ‘new’ music, so this was a pleasure. Thanks.

You’re welcome Di. I find the lyrics (and video) somewhat challenging to understand, but I really like the overall upbeat sound!
