Introducing Ray.

I thought that this might be a good time to show Ray in more detail. You have probably already seen his eyes at the top of the Home page, and you may have seen his face peering over the edge of a sofa pleading for food (see Post – Communication a la Ray.).

Below is Ray proudly promoting the organization that rescued him, the Oakville & Milton Humane Society. 2013 05 31u

Because Ray was a stray when picked up (see Post – How it started), his age, estimated by the condition of his teeth, was considered about 2 yrs. The above photograph was taken in May 2013 when he would have been about 2-1/2 yrs. Many people have asked about his breed background as clearly there is more than German Shepherd there. We decided last year that, as a Christmas gift to ourselves, we would have his DNA analyzed so we would know exactly what he was (and therefore what traits we might expect him to display.). His primary breed is German Shepherd (no surprise there), and his secondary (and only other breed represented) is Rottweiler. Now we smack the side of our heads and say “Of course! Look at his face, those ears, that nose!”
