One long term goal, that I thought would be nice, was to have Ray as a running buddy. He was considered a “high energy” dog but his performance to date has been quite the opposite, and his claim to fame is more based on his ability to simply chill rather than any athletic performance! However, I do know that he is capable of running pretty fast, albeit for short periods of time, so getting him running would not appear to be a major challenge. Continue reading

BEWARE – SCULPTURES!
A very long time ago, we had 2 cats (Friday & Robinson) and wanted to introduce a rabbit (Brewster Bun) to the “family”. We were advised to simply roll Brewster Bun in the cats’ litter tray and all should be well……….. and it was! Apparently the cats did not care what he looked like as long as he smelled right and, once he had been accepted, he could go back to smelling like a rabbit. Continue reading

I rarely use ATM machines. This is simply because, regardless of how convenient they are, I have yet to find one that smiles and says “Good morning! How are you today? How may I help you?” and, in this world of on-line living, I still put a high value on personal contact. In my pre-Ray days, I would walk into town and, when faced with an approaching person, would have to make a quick decision. I consider myself to be a relatively outgoing person and will happily initiate a casual greeting…………… but what if that approaching man has an issue with greetings from a male stranger?
