In my seventy years (where did the time go?) of sharing this world with others, I can look back at history and recall various key very personal events. Those recollections allow me to look at the present and understand who I am (why I am) today! As for the future? Can you guarantee that I will have one? Continue reading
BOOK – Just Thinking!
Change of Plan!
I had another Post planned for today, but Carol came across a three minute video from TV2 Denmark! I found it so moving, and so particularly relevant in our current times, that… well here it is! It would seem to me that the more “mileage” this video gets, the better off we should all be. Continue reading
The Next Page?
I am currently reading “With a Closed Fist” (Growing up in Canada’s toughest neighborhood) by Kathy Dobson. I am not going to offer a review, but will say that I am loving it. Given that it’s an autobiography, I am really interested to read how she progresses from “3rd world living” in Montreal, to writing the book. She clearly got an educational break at some point in her growing up… perhaps it is on the next page? Continue reading
A new book!
Many of you will know that I have been contemplating publishing a book of poetic verse for some time now. Well, the decision has been made, and it is now going through “the process”! It would probably only need to be included for a short period of time… say 3 months, but attendance would be mandatory! Continue reading
New Perspectives?
Yesterday, the Post “Good Dog? Bad Dog?” covered some obvious advantages of seeing the world through our dog’s eyes. In the context of dog ownership, and using Ray as an example, it would seem logical to conclude that if we can understand why he behaves in a certain way, then there is a possibility of changing such behavior. If we know why a dog constantly barks (e.g.), then we have an opportunity either remove the “why”, or change his reaction to it, and subsequently eliminate the barking. Continue reading
Ride a bus.. see the world!
Our local public transit system offers free travel on Mondays for senior citizens. The Town of Oakville is not particularly large, but I can imagine that it would be a lot of fun just riding the buses free for a day! That was on my agenda for 2015. I never did it! I never did it in 2016 either! Continue reading
