Just Sittin’ Around!

The Town of Oakville has a nice little harbour which is very popular with local boat enthusiasts. More importantly to us, it allows us to vary our walks with Ray as we weave our way to the downtown area for personal business and/or to simply allow Ray to visit his “biscuit giving friends” at the TD Bank and Lululemon! The First “Snow”

It seems so long ago now, but I can remember writing a Post about Ray finding the “first snow” in an arena parking lot. Continue reading

The Mailbox Run!

We have a centralized mailbox system here which consists of cabinets each containing around 12 mail boxes. The cabinets are located within easy reach of the homes that they serve and, in our area, there were 4 cabinets installed just west and a little north of us. Continue reading

Acorns!

In our little corner of the world, this is the time of year for acorns. Continue reading

Appleby College

We have a lovely, and apparently quite expensive, private school (Appleby College) relatively close to our home. Leg Wash Anybody?

Sometime ago, Ray initiated a desire to wash our hands after dinner*. We never really understood why, particularly as we rarely have “finger food”, so concluded that either he simply believes that our hands need a good licking, or it is a grooming sign of affection thing! Continue reading

A Break in Routine!

Ray is a routine driven dog. I understand that this is typical of most, if not all, canines but I am convinced that Ray is above typical! Continue reading

Ray? Go figure!

Our back garden is approximately 50% grass and 50% shrubs and trees in a typical layout of the grass being the middle area, and shrubs and trees in the perimeter areas. The shrubs and trees areas have concrete slab pathways through them which were based on Ray’s habits when he first moved in*. Continue reading
