One day, I will have to create a collage of Ray’s sleeping positions. Here is one from a few days ago. Elegant it is not … but he has to be feeling pretty secure to expose himself like that!
Imagine if he stayed like that when visitors arrived? “Please excuse Ray. He is a sleeping exhibitionist!”
I don’t think a collage would do Ray justice. Maybe a Coffee Table Book?

There’s a thought! 🙂

I’d be on board with that idea.

It’s a really interesting thought, but book production/publishing tends to cost quite a bit of money. I am already in a financial “hole” with books “Who Said I was up for Adoption?” and “Just Thinking” … and have another book currently in process with Friesen Press. Taking on a hard copy, high quality, glossy photographs kind of book (Coffee Table Book) is not likely … at least not in the immediate future! Your potential support is however noted and appreciated. 🙂

First, CongratZ on your previous books and good luck on the latest one.
Second, yes, the glossy paper costs an arm and a leg. Plus the cover. BUT! You could actually just “make” it yourself. Print color photos by yourself, and captions and bind it. I think it would be a fun Christmas present for your family/ friends (if you celebrate).

Now there is an idea which may just be feasible, and I have 9 months to work with. Please feel free to visit my Blog whenever you wish … you clearly have good ideas! 🙂

Let me know when you do, I’d love to get in on a copy.

As long as it’s not the bowels that get the movement… ok, I think I went too far on that.

Yes it really did lower the tone of the dialogue, and is far removed from the Post subject line “Elegance”.

Haha… my beagle sleeps on his belly, flat as a pancake! Got to love our four legged friends.

Yes I have seen Beagles do that. Ray could not get into that position! 🙂

For sure! It took him around 5 years to train us to look after him, but he did a very good job. 🙂

Comfortable in his own fur, I’d say.

Hi “Kenzie”. So glad that you enjoy my humor. There is plenty more, mixed in with moments of sadness and turmoil, in my book covering the first 18 months of living with Ray. You may like this Post (link below) which includes an interesting extract from the book.

Where your book is comprised of mainly humor with a bit of sadness, my book is mostly sad with intertwining wry humor. Thanks for the link as I appreciate the comical side of life much more these days.

Totally secure in his world. What a wonderful transformation. Kudos to you and all involved with Rays development over the years. What a long way this handsome boy has come!

He really has come a long way, and it is so heartwarming (as you well know) to see a dog like that. Not a care in the world! 🙂

Ray looks so relaxed 🙂
I just turned around and saw my Odin lay in almost same position…

It is wonderful to see a former shelter dog behave so laid back and carefree. 🙂

I do understand you with Ray. I got my Odin a little too young to leave the mother, but she approved, that I got him. I did ask both the mother and father.

He acts as if he owns the chair … but that’s okay. It’s just so nice to see him just chill out like that. 🙂

He is very precious, and the fact that he shares his/our home with us (we sometimes get the sofa!), makes him even more precious! 🙂
