First, I offer my sincere thanks for all the thoughts and prayers that have been tagged with Ray’s name this past week. He’s not in the clear yet … but it is looking good for him. Continue reading

The Future!
Blogging is going to be rather erratic for probably most of this Spring and Summer. It’s just going to be a busy (by design) year! Continue reading
Ray – Decision Maker?
Our home is in need of some roof work and so, as is my practise, I invited quotes/estimates from three companies who had high BBB ratings.
Whenever a stranger comes to our home, we have to advise them in advance of possible reactions from Ray because, while he is Mr. Congeniality when out on walks, he is very protective when on “his territory”. Continue reading
Heartworm!
Ray recently had his annual medical, and all the testing proved very good as he was declared to be in “excellent health”! It will be very difficult (probably impossible) to erase the experience of working with Ray during his heartworm treatment program (full story is in his book “Who Said I was up for Adoption?” – click book cover over in right side column for more information). Memories of heartworm!
Ray was at the vet clinic yesterday for his annual checkup, and some preventive meds to keep him healthy. From his perspective, he went to see Natalia, who gives him really good treats. Continue reading
A trauma of dog ownership!

Oh Ray!
Ray has expressed his interest in his walks from a long time ago. To be more precise, he has expressed his interest in where we walk! Typically, if our choice of route was not to his liking, he would just stop and stare at us and, if nothing resulted from that move, he would sit! Continue reading
It’s March yet again!
March, like birthdays, seems to be coming around faster and faster. A few years ago, in March, we adopted Ray. Here we are, six years later, wondering where the time went. To be more accurate, Ray adopted me, but the time perspective doesn’t change. Continue reading
The “Inner Dog”?
The following Post was originally published here in February 2015. I was reading it recently and thought it worth repeating because nothing has changed, except that he seems to be getting in touch with his “inner dog” more frequently. Continue reading
Ray – modeling!
You are all probably familiar with Ray’s eyes in the header area of this blog, and may have seen his pic on the book cover of “Who Said I was up for Adoption?”, but many of you have probably not seen the original that went to Friesen Press when the book cover was being designed. Continue reading
